Hills at Valley Postponement In Perspective

Last night's Wayne Hills at Wayne Valley football game was postponed due to the threats of inclement weather. The news was met with disappointment by numerous area fans, who felt the game should have been played as scheduled. Saturday morning's high school football roundups seem to bear that out. The Friday Bergen Record, for example, had 21 Friday night high school football games listed on the schedule. 18 of those games were played Friday as scheduled. Only 3 were postponed. Butler at Pequannock and Whippany Park at Kinnelon were also postponed. Both Pequannock and Kinnelon play on grass fields. Hills at Valley was the only game on turf to be postponed. Hills at Valley will now take place tonight at 7 p.m.
