Football: Wayne Hills 41, Wayne Valley 0

The tone for this one was set on the first two plays from scrimmage. Hills recovered a Patrick Benson fumble on the first play from scrimmage. On the very next play, Rob Schiller raced in for a 15 yard touchdown.

Andrew Monahan caught two touchdown passes from Kevin Olsen and ran back his third punt return of the season for a touchdown to lead Wayne Hills. Monahan had scoring catches of 4 and 18 yards and scored on the punt return from 81 yards. Olsen also fired a 35 yard scoring strike to Jeff Gignac. Dom Santoro also scored for Hills. Joe Lane had nine tackles and a sack for Wayne Hills.

The Hills defense held Valley to just two first downs and just 81 total yards. Alex Trani had 49 yards rushing for Wayne Valley. Vin Greco led Valley's defense with 8 tackles.

"Andrew can do it all," said Hills coach Chris Olsen. "When the lights come on, no one wants to play better than Andrew. He's doing it when we need him."

Kevin Olsen, meanwhile, bounced back from a late game injury vs. Eastside.

“Kevin (Olsen) didn’t practice all week,” said Chris Olsen, Kevin’s father. “We thought [a bone in his foot] was cracked. It wasn’t cracked. He didn’t practice all week, but he came out tonight and played well, and then we took him out. He’s hurting, but he played really well. He changed some plays at the line, did some things for us besides the obvious things that people see. He does a lot of the little things. He’s certainly a big part of what we do. We didn’t know if we were going to have him.”
