Football: Old Tappan 61, Wayne Valley 34

Wayne Valley (2-3) suffered its third straight loss. Old Tappan's 61 point is the highest point total scored on Valley in school history. It breaks the record of 58 points scored by West Milford in 2002. Old Tappan accumulated 470 total yards. They were led by quarterback Devin Fuller, who threw for 194 yards and rushed for 154. The junior has accounted for nearly 1,800 yards of total offense in just five games.

Mike Fusco led Valley with three touchdowns. Two receiving (42 and 25 yards) and one on a 13 yard interception return. The defensive touchdown came at the beginning of the third quarter and pulled Valley within a touchdown. (Fusco's first touchdown is captured above)

"It was a post pass. He (Fusco) read it right," Fuller said. "It was a big momentum shift. Our offense has a short-term memory. When something bad happens, we put it behind us right away."

Valley's Andrew Fournier threw for 294 yards and was on the money on both Fusco's touchdown receptions. The senior signal caller also ran for a score. Alex Trani led Valley in rushing with 107 yards. Greg LaNeve scored on a two yard rush. His score was set up by the Fournier to Christian McDonald 46 yard strike.

"We never felt like we were in control of this game," Old Tappan coach Brian Dunn said. "We couldn't stop them."
