Football: Wayne Valley 61, Memorial West New York 0

Pete Savastano rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another to lead Wayne Valley (5-4) to a 61-0 victory against Memorial West New York (2-7). Savastano threw a 25-yard TD pass to Anthony Verrilli and rushed for TDs of 15 and 2 yards. Verilli also returned an interception for a 35-yard score. Greg LaNeve rushed for two TDs, including a 50-yard TD burst in the first quarter. Hani Katerji ran for a 3-yard TD and recovered a fumble in the end zone. Mark Giannini had a 7-yard TD run.

Savastano had 70 passing yards. LaNeve rushed for 87 yards. Michael Miller tacked on 47 rushing yards. Franco Rosella and Andrew DeFilippis had 8 tackles apiece. Anthony Perez had 7 tackles. Nick Billy had a fumble recovery.

Valley will not qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2004. They will conclude the season with a consolation game next week. Should they win, they will finish with their 5th consecutive winning season.
