Dom Santoro rushed for three touchdowns and Brian Dowling and Trevor Jacobs each had two touchdowns to power Wayne Hills (8-1) to victory against Dickinson (0-9) yesterday in Jersey City. Santoro rushed for three TDs in the second half, including a 52-yard score. Dowling rushed for a 19-yard TD and caught a 21-yard TD from Mike Quinn. Quinn also threw an 11-yard TD to Nick Tumminello. Jacobs rushed for a TDs of 5 and 2 yards in the first quarter. James DeDilectis pounded in a 1-yard TD in the second quarter.
Hills will likely get the No. 1 seed in the Section I, Group III playoffs, which start next week. They currently trail Tenafly for the top spot, but should leap frog them once the residual power points are tabulated. This is the 7th time Hills has attained the top seed (1999, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009). Next week's opponent has not yet been determined.
