Billy Crank threw touchdowns to Liam Connors (7 yards), Mark DeLuise (33 yards) and Nick Goodwin (40 yards) to help propel Wayne Valley to a convincing opening day win. The senior finished with 15 completions for 190 yards. Connors caught 6 passes for 57 yards. DeLuise caught 3 passes. Anthony Landberg, the teams leading rusher a year ago, left in the first quarter with a turned ankle. He had 39 yards rushing at the time. Sophomore Will Kearney also ran for 39 yards.
Anthony Duncan rushed for a 7 yard score. Valley also scored twice on defense - first Taylor Kishky returned a fumble 8 yards for a score. Next, Dave Drozjock scored on a 36 yard interception return. Jacob Anderson kicked a field goal. Justin Walker pounced on the West Milford quarterback for a safety. Walker finished with 9 tackles and 2 sacks. Drozjock finished with 6 tackles and 2 interceptions.
Dylan Walko scored for West Milford on a 3 yard run and on a 62 yard touchdown pass from Kyle Butera. Anthony Battinelli scored on a 5 yard rush.
