Kevin Olsen connected on nine of 21 passes for 91 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another. Brian Dowling carried 21 times for 146 yards and caught five passes for 34 yards and two scores. The Wayne Hills defense didn't have many problems with Ridgewood's offense, including the Wing-T, as it held the Bergen County team to 74 yards. Leading the defense were ends Joe Lane with 11 tackles and a fumble recovery, Matt Greenfield with 10 hits and linebacker Russ Piekarsky with seven tackles, including three for a loss and two sacks, and a fumble recovery.
Dowling caught a 5-yard TD toss from Olsen in the first quarter and Mike Driesse added the first of his four kicks. Dowling grabbed a 15-yard scoring pass in the second as the Passaic County team enjoyed a 14-0 advantage at the half. In the third, Olsen sneaked in from the 2 and fullback Nick Masi caught a 5-yard TD pass from Olsen in the fourth period. Hills is 6-0.
