Julian Roma's second-half goal was the difference as Wayne Hills (No. 5) defeated Montville (No. 12), 1-0, in the first round of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3 tournament in Wayne. Grant Kelly made seven saves for Wayne Hills and Jared Kruger had 10 saves for Montville.
