The Wayne Nationals Little League
baseball team had Toms River East on the ropes. Holding what seemed like a
comfortable, 4-2 lead with one out in the top-half of the sixth and decisive
inning in tonight's opening round of the Joe Graziano State Tournament Final in
Wallington, Wayne was within two outs from
advancing to tomorrow's second round and their goal of reaching the
Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament appeared within grasp.
