Football: Ramapo 45, Wayne Valley 13



Luke Primerano passed for 89 yards and ran for a 17 yard touchdown, but Wayne Valley (4-1) still lost its first game of the season. The other score came on a Billy Crank to Anthony Biondi 25 yard scoring strike. Biondi caught 3 passes for 70 yards. Dave Drozjock also had three receptions. Crank finished with 60 yards passing. Elvis Romero led the defense with 8 tackles, including three sacks. Justin Walker had 6 tackles, including 1 sack. Pavle Knezevic had 5 tackles, including 1 sack. Anthony Lovecchio threw a 15 yard touchdown to Neil O'Connor and a 72 yard touchdown to Logan Schulte. Lovecchio also ran for a touchdown. Ramapo registered 9 sacks.

Ramapo led 10-7 at the half, but exploded for five second half touchdowns. Ramapo has now outscored its five opponents, 204-47 this season. Wayne Valley hadn't allowed more than 17 points in any of its first four games. Valley's leading rusher and middle linebacker Anthony Landberg did not play due to a shoulder injury.

"This was absolutely huge," said Schulte. "We knew Wayne Valley was a great team. We studied them, practiced well and brought our A game."
