Joe Moreno carried 20 times for 154 yards and five touchdowns to lead
a potent ground game that sparked DePaul to a 73-40 victory over
Tenafly last night in Wayne. Moreno's effort led three backs to gain over 100 yards for DePaul.
Kareem Walker carried six times for 117 yards and three touchdowns and
Zach Bednarczyk had eight carries for 125 yards and two TDs for DePaul.
Walker scored on two 20-yard runs in the first quarter and Moreno ran for a touchdown to help DePaul open a 23-14 lead. Moreno ran for three TDs and Bednarczyk ran for a score to highlight a
27-point second quarter that left DePaul with a 50-26 halftime lead. Moreno, Orlando Barker and Walker added touchdown runs in the second
half for DePaul.
Steve Sobo threw four of his five touchdown passes to
Justin Waller and also ran for a touchdown for Tenafly.
