Wayne Valley was planning for the worst. Wayne Valley’s Madison Galligan belting a two-run home run in the fourth inning of the North 1, Group 4 quarterfinals. The Indians had no idea how long the weather would hold out Thursday. The fact that the No. 4 seed was even playing against No. 5 Ridgewood in the quarterfinals of the North 1, Group 4 softball tournament was because their home field has artificial turf and it had stopped raining for a few hours.
