Sadness was difficult to see. There was plenty of pride to go along with it.
True, DePaul was unhappy its season had just ended in Thursday’s North Non-Public A final against Seton Hall Prep at the Rutgers Athletic Center. With the loss, the career of longtime head coach Bart Fazio also came to a close. But the Spartans put in the kind of effort that put a smile on Fazio’s face, despite the 67-59 final.
