Northern Highlands Holiday Tournament Championship: Wayne Valley 62, Northern Highlands 53

Senior forward Chris Homsi scored a game-high 23 points with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals to lead Wayne Valley to a 62-53 victory over Northern Highlands in the championship of the Northern Highlands Holiday Tournament in Allendale.
Wayne Valley went on a 10-0 run late in the second quarter to turn an 18-15 deficit into a 25-18 lead and never trailed again. Senior guard James Grevenitz had 13 points and Andrew Keane added 11 points and a team high 11 rebounds to pace Wayne. Jay Mustafa had 5 assists.

JP Flynn Holiday Tournament Championship: DePaul 54, Mendham 38

Juwuan Carter scored 15 points to propel DePaul in the final of the J.P. Flynn Memorial Tournament at Delbarton in Morris Township. Josh Marquez and Davon Jacobs each finished with 12 points and Kiy Hester added 10 points for DePaul. Andrew Jacobs led Mendham with 17 points.

Northern Highlands Boys Basketball Tournament: Wayne Valley 91, Parmaus 43

Senior guard James Grevenitz scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half to lead Wayne Valley in the first round of the Northern Highlands Tournament in Allendale. Senior guard Jay Mustafa added 12 points and four steals and junior guard Anthony Simone scored all 12 of his points in the fourth quarter for Wayne Valley. Shawn Vogel led the team with 5 rebounds. Mustafa and Andrew Keane had 4 boards apiece. Sophomore Austin Shelly dished out 4 assists.

Boys Basketball: Wayne Valley 54, Wayne Hills 29

Chris Homsi had 14 points and James Grevenitz had 13 to lead Wayne Valley (3-0). Jay Mustafa added 9 points. Luke Primerano had 6 points and 6 rebounds. Homsi and Mustafa had 5 assists apiece. Andrew Keane had 5 points and 5 boards. Scott Arkin had 6 rebounds and Mustafa had 5. Arris Hunt and Scott Wills had 8 and 7 points respectively for Hills.

Chris Homsi accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, as Valley (2-0) won easily. James Grevenitz chipped in with 15 points. Jay Mustafa added 13 points, while dishing out 8 assists. Scott Arkin scored 7 points and Andrew Keane had 7 boards.

James Grevenitz poured in 21 points as Wayne Valley won its opener. Chris Homsi chipped in with 10 points. Andrew Keane and Jay Mustafa had 9 and 8 points respectively. Scott Arkin added 7 points.

Boys Basketball: DePaul 73, Paramus Catholic 57

Davon Jacobs had 21 points and Josh Marquez had 18 points as DePaul won its opener. Sanders Green added 11 points.
