Lowry: On the Wayne football saga

Somewhere along the way, some folks in Wayne lost their compass. This is football, for goodness' sakes. This is not famine or war. This is not about poverty or human rights. And this is certainly not about college scholarships. This is about, or should be about, setting examples, teaching right from wrong, teaching that actions have consequences. I imagine Coach Olsen has sounded some of these very themes in his many decades of on-field success. How could he not have? Perhaps he repeated them so many times that he lost sight of their meaning.
