Andrew DeFilippis led the charge with 12 tackles. Anthony Verrilli had nine spills. Alex Trani, Mike Tolerico and Joe Brady had interceptions. Nick Billy had a key sack. The lone score came when Andrew Fournier found Verrilli for a 10 yard touchdown. Fournier finished with 93 yards passing. Mike Fusco had four receptions.
The win in all probability qualifies Wayne for the playoffs. The team is 4-4, which typically is not good enough for a playoff bid. However, six of Valley's eight opponents have winning records. Valley's strength of schedule should earn them enough Power Points to qualify. They would be either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed. If they wind up No. 8, they will play at Wayne Hills in the first round.
