Football: DePaul 37, Tenafly 21

DePaul employed the one-two punch of quarterback Dan Kowal and tailback Wymere Robinson to rally to a 37-21 victory over Tenafly. Kowal completed eight of 16 passes for 214 yards and two TDs and ran for 44 yards and a score and Robinson carried 24 times for 142 yards and a touchdown for the Wayne school.

Tenafly jumped to a 14-0 lead, but special teams standout Davon Jacobs returned a kickoff 80 yards and Massimo Aronson caught a 16-yard scoring pass from Kowal in the second quarter.

The Bergen County squad came back and grabbed a 21-13 lead in the second period, but the remainder of the game belonged to DePaul. Kowal scored on a 3-yard keeper and Robinson scored on a 3-yard rush as DePaul took a 28-21 lead at the intermission.

Matt Jachera kicked a 20-yard field goal in the third quarter and Aronson latched onto a 26-yard TD toss from Kowal in the fourth for DePaul.
