2/21/07: Kinnelon 61, Wayne Hills 58: Chris Fonti led Hills with 24 points. Steve Lequerica added 17 points. Bryan Ogden added 10 points. Kinnelon got 21 points from Luke Sailer and 17 points from Matt Condrad.
2/16/07: Wayne Hills 55, Ramsey 52: Bryan Ogden led Hills (6-16) with 14 points. Steve Lequerica added 13 points. Chris Fonti chipped in with 10.
2/9/07: Demarest 65, Wayne Hills 59: Steve Lequerica had 19 points for Hills. Joe Russo had 14.
2/4, Passaic County Tournament, First Round: DePaul 73, Wayne Hills 66 (at DePaul): Justin Crosgile scored 20 points as DePaul (No. 2, 15-2) defeated Wayne Hills (No. 15, 4-12). DePaul trailed at the end of the first period, but managed to score a come back win. Crosgile added six rebounds and four steals. Shakim Phillips, a freshman forward, had 18 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Steve Lequerica scored 20 points for Wayne Hills.
"They shocked us," admitted DePaul coach Bart Fazio. "I never thought that it would be that close. They're not a four-win team. I told Jimmy (Catalano) that afterwards. They're talented. They're just young. That's the only problem. They have a bright future. Lequerica is an outstanding player."
Kamar Simmons added 9 points for DePaul. Chaz Cervino added 8 points. Marcus Crosgile chipped in with 7 points. Fonti and Chris Lala had 10 points for the Patriots. Bryan Ogden had 8 points.
1/26/07: Northern Highlands 72, Wayne Hills 54 (Allendale): Joe Russo led Wayne Hills (3-10) with 16 points. Steve Lequercia had 15 points.
1/20/07: Ridgewood 59, Wayne Hills 51 (Wayne): Joe Russo had 24 points, but Hills (3-8) still lost. Steve Lequercia and Chris Lala had 9 and 7 points respectively.
1/18/07: Ramapo 58, Wayne Hills 35: Chris Lala had 10 points and Steve Lequerica added 9.
1/16/07: Wayne Hills 42, Indian Hills 37: Steve Lequerica and Chris Lala both had 13 points apiece.
1/11/07: Wayne Hills 48, Pascack Valley 44 (Wayne): Joe Russo scored 14 points to lead three Wayne Hills players in double figures. Steve Lequerica added 12 points and Bryan Ogden chipped in 11.
1/10/07: Ramsey 69, Wayne Hills 39 (Wayne): Steve Lequerica had 15 points for Hills (2-6). Scott Schultz added 13.
1/5/07: Wayne Hills 72, Pascack Hills 61 (Montvale): Steve Lequerica finished with 17 points for Wayne Hills (2-5). Scott Schultz scored 15 and Joe Russo added 14.
12/21/06: Northern Highlands 75, Wayne Hills 60: Steve Lequerica led with 16 points. Scott Schultz added 14. Joe Russo chipped in with 11.
12/20/06: Old Tappan 57, Wayne Hills 46 (Old Tappan): Joe Russo led Hills (1-1) with 14 points. Steve Lequercia added 11 points.
12/16/06: Wayne Hills 46, Ramapo 45 (Wayne): Steve Lequerica scored on a driving layup with 15 seconds left to lift Wayne Hills to a dramatic opening day victory over Ramapo. The Green Raiders led by as many as 14 in the first half, but Lequerica led the comeback with 21 points. He also added five assists. Scott Schultz chipped in with 11 points.
