H.S. football: Wayne Valley wants to be the real deal

The players who've returned remember exactly when Wayne Valley's 2012 football season took a terrible turn for the worse. The Indians were 4-0, down just 10-7 at halftime on the road against 4-0 Ramapo a year ago. The Green Raiders outscored Wayne Valley, 35-6, in the second half, and the Indians never recovered. That one-sided defeat to Ramapo marked the start of a six-game losing streak that kept Wayne Valley out of the playoffs for a second straight season. The Ramapo game also initiated a second consecutive collapse for Wayne Valley, which began the 2011 season 2-0, only to finish 3-7.
