The Wayne Today
It's official. As first reported by the Wayne Today on Sunday afternoon, long-time Wayne Hills High School assistant football coach Wayne Demikoff was formally voted in tonight by the Wayne Board of Education to be the Patriots new head coach.
Demikoff immediately takes over for veteran coach Chris Olsen, who officially retired at the end of the fall season after 26 years at Wayne Hills. He inherits a successful public school program that has won eight state titles since 2002 and has sent numerous athletes on to the college and professional level over the years. WayneSports.com was established in 2003. It provides local sports to schools in Wayne and in the surrounding communities.
