Robert Tedesco, a senior midfielder, converted a pass from Robert Palmarozza in the second overtime to break a 1-1 tie for Wayne Valley (15-6-1) in the semifinals of North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3 in Wayne. Wayne Valley travel to meet Montville in the sectional final on Thursday, at 2 p.m.
Pascack Valley (13-6-1) scored first, but Wayne Valley tied it when senior back Dan DiMaio scored on a penalty kick. In the second overtime, senior defender Palmarozza raced down the left flank and sent a centering pass to Tedesco, who finished his chance from eight yards out. Wayne Valley keeper Chris Riviello made six saves.
