Boys Soccer: Section I, Group III Quarterfinals: Wayne Valley 2, Sparta 1
Kristian Gonzalez' goal, scored off a corner kick with six minutes remaining in the second half, lifted Wayne Valley (No. 4) in a North Jersey, Section 1 Group 3 quarterfinal matchup in Wayne. Dan Bellet also scored while Mark Lucci collected two assists for Wayne Valley, which erased a 1-0 deficit at the half. Chris Riviello made five saves for Wayne Valley (14-6-1). Sparta is 13-5-1.
