Wayne Valley Basketball Summer Recap

Basketball is said to be a big man’s game. If taken literally, the Wayne Valley boys basketball team is in trouble in 2015-16. Valley’s biggest player is 6-foot-2. That’s small, considering most high school teams boast multiple big men hovering around the 6-foot-5 mark.

Valley’s coach, Joe Leicht, has 33 years of high school head coaching experience under his belt (12 at Valley). He’s had his fair share of big teams and small teams. With more than 300 career wins under his belt, he has succeeded with both types.

“We’re not going to be the biggest team in the world this year,” Leicht said. “I’m fine with that because we have plenty of strong, fast athletes.
