Danny Reidel got a double-carom goal with 4:11 to play to give Hills a 3-2 lead. Sean Coleman's goal with 2:54 left made it 4-2. Braden Ploehn scored for Valley at 1:53 to pull the score within 4-3. Valley had a few chances to tie the game in the waning moments, but could not convert.
Reidel led Hills with 2 goals. Rob Testino also scored. Zachary Brogna had two assists for Hills. Reidel, Dean Hulbert, Michael Brosnick, Jimmy Peracchio, Daniel Mirman and Ben Pawlak also had assists. Peter Petrozza had 24 saves.
Josh Dimas and John Siyaga also scored for Valley. Alex DePalma and Mark Perez had assists for Valley. Eric Birnberg had 38 saves.
