2014 Wayne Valley Football Hall Of Fame Dinner




The 6th Annual Wayne Valley Football Hall of Fame Dinner was held Friday night at the Barnyard in Totowa. The honorees included former players (from left to right): Justin Riemer (1990-1992), Bill Brooks (1964-1966) and George Rapp (1956-1958), with head coach Roger Kotlarz. U.S. Senator Booker Visits Wayne Hills Football Team

U.S. Senator Cory Booker visited constituents in North Jersey on Tuesday, sharing stories of his football career with the Wayne Hills High School football team before going to Fort Lee to discuss Medicare and Social Security with senior citizens in Fort Lee. In Wayne, he talked about leadership with the 65 or so football players huddled around him.

Boys' Basketball: Wayne Hills steps it up in summer play

It's been a very successful summer for the Wayne Hills boys' basketball team.
Kevin Grimes' team finished 8-2 in the Bloomfield Summer League and also split 16 games at the William Paterson League. The Patriots also took part in a one-day Showcase Tournament in Pennsylvania, against some elite teams, which was covered by ESPN.

Wayne PAL Babe Ruth 13U team advances in Mid Atlantic Regional Tournament

Following four days of competition at the South Jersey resort, Wayne PAL (37-15-1) finished third in Pool B Monday night with a 2-2 record heading into this afternoon's quarterfinal round playoff contest against Pool A runner-up and host team, Atlantic Shore (3-1). The winner advances to tomorrow's semifinal round against Pool B winner Broomall-Newton of Pennsylvania (4-0).
