Senior Mark DeLuise rushed for two touchdowns and later caught a TD as Wayne Valley defeated Teaneck, 42-14, in Teaneck. DeLuise opened the scoring for Wayne Valley with first quarter touchdown runs of 5 and 17 yards. His 11 yard TD reception from junior Nick Goodwin gave Wayne Valley a 21-7 lead in the second quarter. Goodwin, who threw for three touchdowns, added scoring strikes to junior Vincent Tedesco and sophomore Joe Scancarella in the second half. junior Ryan Coyle added a 22-yard rushing touchdown and Eric Jankowitz made 6-of-6 extra point attempts in the victory.
DeLuise finished with 117 rushing yards and 54 receiving yards. Goodwin passed for 138 yards. Scancarella had 69 receiving yards. Tedesco had two receptions.
On defense, DeLuise had 10 tackles, including a sack. Senior Mike Scaglione had 6 tackles. Tedesco added 5 spills. Juniors Will Kearney and Ryan Coyle had 4 tackles each. Kearney had an interception and returned it 35 yards. Juniors Tyler Walther and Tyler Andreas had passes-defensed.
Teaneck's Jordan Gamble had rushing touchdowns of 19 and 68 yards.
