Last year's successful Wayne Hills baseball season ended abruptly with a Passaic County Tournament final loss to DePaul on Memorial Day and then a State Sectional Tournament semifinal loss to West Milford the next day. A week after the Spartans’ spectacular come-from-behind victory over Eastside in the Passaic County final, St. Peter’s Prep ended DePaul’s season decisively in the North Non-Public A semifinals. Senior forward Sean Cummings scored a team-high 23 points and junior guard Austin White added 20 to lead the second-seeded Marauders to a 95-69 win.
