William Paterson football players, including Valley grad, praised for good deed

Four college football players who became media sensations this week for their honest act – paying for a couple of items at a store when no employees were around – said they’re thrilled with the attention and hope their example will inspire change.
The four players, Jelani Bruce, Anthony Biondi (above), Kell’E Gallimore and Thomas James, want their good deed caught on camera to send a message that society shouldn't judge people on their appearance.

WORTHY CAUSE - Members of the Wayne Valley football team were among the participants at the recently held Bruce Eckrote Memorial 5K Run in Wayne. H.S. Girls Soccer countdown: No. 11 Wayne Hills

According to coach Greg Rehberger, the Patriots “have talent at every position,” and expect to be in contention for the Passaic County tournament title one year after falling to Clifton, 1-0, in the final. Senior midfielder Sarah Bendl returns as one of Wayne Hills’ offensive catalysts (five goals, nine assists last season).
