Little League World Series State : Somerset Hills 3, Wayne 2

Wayne had bases loaded and no outs  in the sixth inning, but couldn't score the tying run as they suffered an elimination loss. They are only the 8th Wayne team since 1958 to make it to the Little League World Series State Sectionals.

Little League World Series Sectional Tournament: Wayne 3, Sparta 2

Kevin Woll homered in the fifth inning to lift the Wayne National team to victory. Wayne advanced to the Sectionals by winning the District 2 championship. They are 1-1 in the Sectionals. They play again tonight against Somerset Hills in Piscataway.

Wayne Little League Wins District Championship

The Wayne Little League National team won the District 2 Championship by defeating Pequannock in the final in West Milford. The Wayne Little League was founded in 1958. This is only the eighth time that Wayne has won the District crown (1962, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1980, 2005, 2009, 2012). Wayne now moves onto the State Sectional Tournament which starts Monday in Piscataway.
