Hills, Valley and DePaul Boys Basketball Previews

(Andew Keane of Wayne Valley vs. Arris Hunt of Wayne Hills in a regular season game last year)

Wayne Hills - It would be easy to look at Wayne Hills' 9-14 record in 2011-12 and declare that it was a disappointing season. Records, though, can sometimes be misleading. Last season's Wayne Hills boys' basketball team may illustrate that point perfectly. The team lost four starters from 2010-11, yet still managed to put together a solid season.

"We were very young and inexperienced last year and the conference and the county, as always, was very strong," said third year head coach Paul Palek. Click here to read more.

Wayne Valley - To the casual observer, it may seem like the 2012-13 Wayne Valley boys' basketball team is in for a rebuilding year. Coming off a stellar 2011-12 season boasting a 22-6 record and reaching the Section I, Group IV semifinals, it would appear the Indians are hard-pressed in repeating those efforts.  It was Wayne Valley's first 20-win season since 2008 and only the sixth in the team's glorious 60-year history. The team's .846 winning percentage is the best at Wayne Valley since the 1987 team went 20-4. Click here to read more.

DePaul - Exit Bart Ball. Enter Hagen Hoops. And that's what is percolating with the DePaul Catholic boys' basketball team, a program transitioning from a change of coaches and offensive and defensive philosophies. Click here to read more
